What Is the Process of Lifting With Foam?

Once you have decided to utilize Polyurethane Foam for lifting your walkway, driveway, patio, curb and gutter, interior floor, or fill a void behind your sea wall, what should you expect. We will set a time for our crew to arrive at your residence or place of business. The first thing they will do is to position our equipment for the best and easiest access to the affected area.
In cases where the concrete has settled and needs to be lifted, they will drill a 5/8″ hole (about the size of a dime) through the concrete to allow access to the area below the concrete. A port will then be placed in the hole and our injection gun will be attached to the port. After thoroughly checking to be sure the hole will accept the material, the operator will begin injecting the liquid 2 part foam. (We use a two part polyurethane foam for lifting concrete. For more on the chemical process, see the blog “How Does the Foam Work?”)
As the foam cures, the operator will closely monitor the concrete and inject enough foam to lift the settled area. Once the lift is completed, the operator will remove the injection gun and the port leaving a hole. (This hole is sealed at the bottom with the foam) The operator will then fill the hole with concrete or similar material. In just 15 minutes, you can use the area without any restrictions!
